What do you do?

What do you do when you're having that day? The one where the mess, the routine, the challenges are so magnified that you struggle to see His light behind them?

A commercial I've seen recently spoke to me about this. There's a man and a rock - which looks to be much, much bigger than the man. The man talks, slowly taking steps forward. You realize that the rock isn't as big as it seems, it's just the way you see the situation. I know Pastor Bil's talked about this, too.

So what do you do when you're having that day? I read a bit in my Bible, where He reminded me that He's in charge, and I have to relinquish my false ideas of control.

Gotta move some rocks... but shoot me your ideas on how to change my perspective.

I don't get to do it much since we moved, but sometimes just talking to other mommies who are in the same place as me or have been helps. It helps me to know I'm not the only one who feels like they have lost control or are facing a mountain and don't even know where to start climbing. I think you got off to a good start though by taking it to God first and getting in the Word. He will bless you for that for sure. Hang in there girl. We miss you and your beautiful family.

I just listened to a devotional on this :) Anyways the lady was discussing about how she gets frustrated. She has those days when nothing seems to go right. (I seem to have them more often than I'd like lately). Anyways she knows that today is the day the Lord has made. He made it just for her, with all of it's challenges, troubles, and joys. He made it for her knowing exactly how the day would go. She can rejoice in knowing that God already knows whats gonna happen. She also goes on to talk about how if we don't have those kind of days, hard days when we're challenged and frustrated, and tested, then how can we know if we have grown in Christ. You learn if you mastered the lesson by how you react when your tested. Anyways... it was a cool devotional and thought i'd share. praying that all is well! Chantel

Since we allow perspective to give us reality; it stands to reason that when you look at things from God's perspective it would be a more truthful reality. The first step to moving a rock will be to take the first step- give the rock to God. Then ask God to be with you in moving that rock- watch HE will place people to help you move the rock. And then you can finish by thanking God for moving the rock. It's amazing to bring a different attitude thereby changing your perspective; or to allow the rock to give us a new perspective thereby changing our attitude. I love you & you are never alone.

I'm having one of those nights! I must have a virus because I feel so sick. At least I can make the time go by looking at my friends' blogs!

Sometimes I wish there were no nights towards the end of pregnancy. Sleep seems to allude me, and I wind up wishing it were morning so at least I wouldn't have to keep trying to get some shut-eye.

Thanks for the pics and the thoughts!
