Happy B-day To ME!

Friday was my 27th, and I'm totally stealing pictures from She-Da-Wagna's blog. I had a great day.
Mis padres sent me flores muy guapa for my birthday. I have to snap a picture today so I can post them. Then I went to grab a few hurricane supplies with my little Sohlios before naptime. My Sohl-mate got home early, and we went swimming as a fam. We had a great time, though my Sohl son's in need of some extended pool time. He's still a little leery of the backfloat, and my patience tends to wane earlier than it probably should.
Then I ran home and got ready to attend a great girls' night, hosted by She-Da-Wagna. SunJane, Her OckersOcean, and Lady Keller all joined us. We looked at ridiculous pictures of our past selves, and talked about things from the past, present, and future. Lady Keller got me a sweet necklace and bracelet; SunJane, napkins which reflect something I told her daughter when she had dinner with us one night; and She-Da-Wagner and Her OckersOcean went together on a gift card to local spa for a manicure-pedicure. SWEET! Gracias, mis chicas bonitas!
My two sweet friends from college, Juliet and Tressa, send me a sweet card and a gift card to GAP, which I'll use to get a new skirt.
Then Saturday the kids and I went to the base park and watched and listened as the jets flew overhead. We missed the beach wedding we were invited to because the gates locked down for a bit, so we scheduled an impromptu beach party with just the four of us. I inflated a raft I've had for three years now, and we took turns floating in. That evening, while She-Da-Wagna watched our little Sohlios, we stopped by the Mansfield's 10th anniversary celebration, enjoying some fresh shrimp, potatoes, and a couple of margaritas. Then my Sohl-mate and I enjoyed a nighttime stroll along the beach before picking up our kids.
Overall, a great birthday week!

Picture my Sohl-life...

As I haven't update in a while, nor demonstrated the evidence of my daily escapades, I'll do it all at once. Be prepared - I'm making up for lost time. ;)

My little Sohls, so sweet.

Not surprisingly, my Sohl son eyeing his sister's uneaten watermelon.

No photos, please.

Carter shares his dad's sense of order, and his mom's sense of balance.

Our funk-Sohl brotha and my Sohl-mate begin the rock movement phase of our landscaping project.

Carter, helping me spray the rocks.... from the other side, with no water. He's so helpful.

AH! Help arrives.

A baby Einstein cake - the source of my recent cake blog.

Our landscaping. YAY!
We visited the beach and Schiltterbahn while my funk-Sohl brotha was here. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera. Suffice it to say that we had an awesome time. We're excited for him to visit again!

Celery green and orange cake. I swear it's cuter in person.
JANES women's ministry Expo planning meeting. Thanks super girls for wearing the pink.

My Sohl-son presented my Sohl-mate with this. He said it's an "invite" to Mama's "party." I'm sure they're both hoping someone's bringing cake. Click it to read the details.
My early b-day present from my Sohl-mate. I am so stoked. I've never had a leather Bible. Thanks Sohl-mate. I'll return your missing-for-a-year Bible now.
